Hello my name is Darlene and I will be one of the administrators of IBN. Yesterday I tried for hours trying to import contacts from Outlook into IBN. Sometimes I would get partial information and sometimes I wouldn’t get any information. The “wizard” that comes up is very confusing and has way more fields than we need. Is there a way to take them out? I created or I thought I created a new form, but now it is nowhere to be found. I have looked in the book and I could not find a resolution to either one of these problems.

Please send me back very detailed instructions/information on what I need to do to resolve these issues.

Hello, Darlene.

The process of importing contacts from Outlook looks this way:

1.     Save the contacts from Outlook in the. csv file.

2.     Then go to the IBN portal.

3.     Open “Clients/Contacts” section and use “Import Organizations” in the “Actions” menu.

4.     Check the box CSV in the wizard window and select the. csv file that you had saved before.

5.     Then set a correspondence between the fields.

6.     Import contacts.

We need more information to define what went wrong when you were importing contacts. It would be nice, if you send us screenshots of your steps and the csv file you generated. This will help to find the reason of incorrect import process.
