Mediachase announces the release of the new IBN 4.7 build 4.7.60. The distributive is available at the “Distributives” section of the site.

Interface changes are among the most essential features of the new IBN build. There is a wide range of interface related changes. For example, HTML tags can now be used as field values of a dictionary, and there are new constants “Tomorrow” and “Next Week” in list filters for the fields of the type “Date”.

Some changes have been made to IBN objects: there is a new project status “Cancelled”, and there is a new option to add predecessors and successors for a todo (before the latest option was available for tasks only).

Traditionally, we have made some minor changes and fixed some errors. The full list of the most recent changes is in the “Changes” file. We strongly recommend updating your IBN Server to the 4.7.60build.

IBN 4.7.56: HTML based comments and other new features

Mediachase announces the release of the new IBN build 4.7.56. You can find the distributive in the “Distributives” section of the site.

Among the most crucial features of the new versions are using HTML in comments to tasks, to-dos and documents, and ability to rename a document’s versions as well as to edit their descriptions.

Besides, there is a number of interface updates. For example, overdue tasks are highlighted in red in the Gantt chart.

Finally, some changes have been made on the incident management side. Now, a user from an incident’s responsible group can change the responsible user (if it is allowed in the Issue box settings) and update the incident’s status.

IBN Project Management 4.7.55 supports Windows 7

Tuesday, August 18, 2009— Mediachase software developer and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner has announced new 4.7.55 release of IBN Project Management System. If you already use IBN, download this file and update your system. If you are new user, kindly install the complete IBN Server Package.

IBN 4.7.55 is enhanced with new features and capabilities for even more convenient and flexible work. For example, users can add their own fields into project or incident page, collapse information blocks and save screen workspace. Project Security Issues were also improved — Project Manager can now define whether user has rights for project document creating.

Email Alerts & Reminders System has also become more flexible. IBN user can receive not only information about who is responsible to task or when it should be completed, but also state of the task (active, completed, overdue etc.). This will helps managers to get accurate information and take rights decisions.

We are glad to announce the release of a new IBN build 4.7.54. You can find the distributive in the “Distributives” section of the site.

The most important new feature of the 54^th IBN build is custom portal pages. Now you can easily create a custom page, design it by allocating information blocks (e.g. News Channel, Company Information, Active Projects Block, etc) and make the page accessible to users through the left menu. With this option you can for instance create internal pages for your users with core information and quick links to the key IBN objects.

Besides, you can better manage the access to information with new opportunity to hide and show sections of the left menu at both portal and profile levels.

IBN 4.7.53: RSS for IBN Lists and other new features

We present a new IBN build 4.7.53 that could be found in the “Distributives” section.

The most noticeable new feature of the 53^rd build is RSS for IBN Lists. Now, for any List View you can generate an URL for RSS. Using this URL any user (even without IBN account) can trace all changes in the List, including adding, editing and removing records as well as updating of the List structure. You can browse RSS with your mobile phone using Opera Mini. We plan to make RSS available not only for Lists but also for Incidents, Projects and other IBN objects.

Among other features the most important are:

Introducing of a “default” user calendar, that is automatically assigned to a new user
New control “RDL Reports” available for “My Work”, “Project View” and “Incident View” pages

New build IBN 4.7.52 has been released

A new IBN 4.7 build has been released. Explore the “Distributives” section to download the update file if you currently use build 4.7.50 or installation package if you are just about to start working with Instant Business Network. Note that if you use an earlier build, update to 4.7.50 first.

The main changes concern portal profiles that determine which left menu tabs and in which order will be shown to a user. Starting from the 4.7.52 build any user has to have an assigned portal profile. After updating, users without any assigned profile will be automatically assigned a default profile.

Another new feature allows administrator setting structure of the left menu at the portal level. Any changes made at the portal level will be also made in all profiles, though any further changes at the profile level have a higher priority.

Also it is now possible to customize “My Work”, “Project View” and “Incident View” pages at the profile level, and disable further customization at the individual level. If individual customization is disabled, users that are assigned the profile will not be able to change the structure of the pages.

For the projects’ Gantt chart we have added full screen view mode and capability to depict tasks’ start and finish dates on the chart. Task manager can now edit individual resource’s status and a resource could view detailed information on his current work including utilization chart in the “Personal Space – My Work – Current Work” section. In addition you can now add users to “Favorites” and choose the “Favorites” group when select resources for to-dos, tasks, events, etc. Please, check the full list of changes made in the 4.7.52 build.

Installation Guide Update

IBN 4.7.50 — New Build Release

We are glad to inform you about build 50 of Instant Business Network 4.7. The previous build was released on December 30 in 2008.

There is a lot of significant changes in the new version.

New features include ability to define order of tasks and ToDos regardless of priority; new system of automatic updates integrated to IBN Client; optimized working speed, improved interface of working with IBN objects.

System administration changes include improved process of email routing, ability to register more than one SMTP server, new view of outbox messages, customization of fields displayed on object view/edit pages; process of company creation when IBN installing; management console has been added.

New IBN Updating Portal is now available at http://update.mediachase.ru/Public/GetRss.aspx. Here you can find update files for IBN Client Tools. All new builds and updates for the IBN Server will be placed here as well in the nearest future.

Attention to system administrators! Because of significant system changes in IBN 4.7.50 version, the rules of versions’ inheritance are as follows:

— update of IBN 4.7.50 can be installed only if IBN 4.7.47 is already installed;
— if the current IBN version you use is lower than 4.7.47, it is required to update IBN to 4.7.47 version and then to 4.7.50;
— all versions higher than 4.7.50 can be installed only starting from 4.7.50.

In IIS “IBN 4.7” web source will be stopped, “IBN 4.7 server.name” web source will be created instead of it. Check the settings of your new web source. If non-standard port was used on the old web source or SSL-certificate had been set, adjust new web source in appropriate way. If by any reason the old web source had not been stopped or the new one does not start working, do it manually.

Installation package of IBN 4.7.50 version is in the “Files” section. If you already use IBN 4.7.47, download the update file in order to update the current version of IBN Server to version 50. If you only plan to start working with IBN, download installation package.

After installing IBN Server 4.7.50 it is required to update IBN Client Tools to 712 build.
